The Burden of Pastor Kombe
Pastor Kombe is the first Pastor that Bro. Powers met when he went to Tanzania 15 years ago.  He had prayed for 20 years for God to send him a friend from America and he told Pastor Powers that he was that friend.  Now at 78 years old read the letter we received this week about his still burning desire for God to help his land.

Dear Pastor Powers,

Greeting to you and the family in the JESUS name.
Up to this time I think you know you are my friend.
Me not easy to forget you for what you did to me and
for my church , other churches, orphans and for the
other people in our country.
It seems you don’t think much for Africa like before.
Don’t let any body discourage you concerning preaching
the gospel this last days.  If America don’t need
you, Africa needs you.  If it is hard for you
please send many preachers to us as possible because
few years past muslims declared in Nigeria that
they will try hard to make Africa a continent of
Muslims, and now we see evidence in many
countries of Africa muslim revival every area.
Myself I am awake. The power of the Holy Spirit
Is moving much in me than before.
Please pray for me and you are welcome.
God Bless much,

         Pastor Kombe

We are a Bible believing pentecostal church that was established over 45 years ago by Rev. Kirk Powers and his wife Rayetta. In 1991 his son, Bro. Keith Powers and wife Becky left the evangelistic field and moved to Virginia to become the current Pastor.

We are involved in many different types of outreach in our local area and around the world. Our bus ministry travels in many directions to pick up and bring children to church every Sunday to teach them about the goodness of God.

We have been involved with mission work in Tanzania, Africa for the last 9 years and during that time built several churches and opened Safe Haven Orphanage which currently is home for over 50 children.

Please spend some time exploring our site and seeing what the Lord has helped us to accomplish for His kingdom. Many sermons that Bro. Powers has preached are available to listen to online in the sermons section and much more information about our mission work is also online.

If you live in the area or are visiting on vacation we invite you to join us for Sunday morning, Sunday night or Wednesday night service. If you have any questions about our church or the work that we are involved in please contact us by mail, telephone or by email. We look forward to hearing from you or having you visit us soon.
